Film Otsego is dedicated to bringing film industry production to Cooperstown, Oneonta, Otsego County and the greater Leatherstocking region in order to build a lasting film industry in the area.
Greg Klein is an actor-writer-director producer who was one of the founding board members of Film COOP, the previous incarnation of Otsego County’s film commission. He is the author of three books, “The King of New Orleans,” “The Paper Tigers,” and “Sunset Painting & The Sun, Two Plays by Greg Klein.” He was a henchman on season six of “24” and wrote, produced and stared in the TV sit-com pilot, “Bromance,” which was shot in Otsego County in 2022. He is the co-writer and co-producer of the Hallmark-like Christmas film, “A Cooperstown Christmas,” which he developed with fellow board member Cheyenne Phillips. A former professional wrestler, he produces a podcast about territory “rasslin” called Greg Klein’s Old School Rasslin Talk. He is also the publisher of Cooperstown Sports News. As the film commissioner for Film Otsego, his job is to handle all incoming queries from film industry people and his mission is to help develop and build the entertainment industry in Otsego County.
An Oneonta resident and SUNY Oneonta graduate, Korey Rowe is the owner of Otsego Media & Production Services. He is an United States veteran who served in Afghanistan and Iraq, and continued to be a political advocate for veteran health. He has produced films, television shows, documentaries, web series and much more. He has experience as a director, producer, videographer and editor. His involvement with Film Otsego is driven by his passion for the arts and a desire to improve the local economy for all industries.
Alysa Blasetti - Vice President, Film Otsego Alysa Blasetti is a dynamic media professional with a robust portfolio in media production and film. As part owner of Otsego Media and Vice President of Film Otsego, Alysa brings a wealth of experience and a passionate commitment to storytelling and community engagement. At Otsego Media, Alysa oversees various aspects of media production, from conceptualization to final delivery, ensuring that each project meets the highest standards of quality and creativity. Her strategic vision and leadership have been instrumental in driving the company’s success, making it a trusted name in the industry. In her role as Vice President of Film Otsego, Alysa is dedicated to fostering a vibrant film community in Otsego County. She works tirelessly to support local filmmakers, promote film education, and attract film projects to the region. Her efforts have significantly contributed to the growth and recognition of Otsego County as a hub for creative talent.
Geoffrey Doyle is the Executive Director at the Foothills Performing Arts & Civic Center in Oneonta. He has been working at Foothills since 2007 and has been an active participant, supporter, and patron of the arts in Oneonta, and the greater Otsego County area, for most of his life. Geoffrey is experienced in all facets of event planning, event production, promotion, and venue management. Over the course of his career, Geoffrey has accumulated 20+ years of hands-on experience in concert production, audio recording, lighting and sound for theatrical productions, and all management of all varieties of performance-based and civic events.
Andie Alban is the instructor for the Visual Communication & Media Technology program at OAOC BOCES in Milford, NY. She holds a BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts and has several years of experience in illustration and design. She connected with FilmOtsego when Otsego Media was filming "Asteroid" in 2020, and starred in a minor role. As a passionate advocate for the arts, Andie was overjoyed to be offered a position on the Board for FilmOtsego and is happy to grow another creative avenue in the area.
Dylan Avery was raised in Upstate New York and has been a lifelong movie lover. Many a weekend was spent with his mother marathoning films ranging from modern to classic, as well as multiple screenings of indie films at local theaters that are no longer with us. He participated in the first Project Greenlight, a screenwriting contest produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, which allowed him to write his first terrible script and continue to study the craft of both screenwriting and filmmaking in general.
He has been deeply involved in every Film Otsego production from directing Asteroid, its first feature film, to producing and/or running cameras on the other four. He believes strongly in Otsego County as a hub for film production and is always pushing to bring productions here whenever possible.
Cheyenne Phillips is an actress, producer, writer, and model. She has the unique advantage of working as an actress in both the U.S and Australia because of her dual citizenship, plus training with the Lee Strasberg Institute has had a profound effect which has led to a successful film career. Cheyenne is known for her roles in Outlaws and Angels, Within The Darkness, Ouija Witch, and her upcoming film called A Cooperstown Christmas which she co-wrote and stars in. Apart from Ms. Phillip's film career, she has worked extensively around the world with well-known photographers including Johanna Siegmann who sought out Cheyenne for Ms. Siegmann’s coffee table book. A picture from that shoot was commissioned by the restaurant franchise ‘Ice Box Cafe’ in Florida and was positioned on the walls of the cafe.
Australian photographer to the stars, John Waddy, flew Cheyenne to Sydney for a layout with Tony Bonner, an Australian actor, and an icon. The shoot took place on Sydney’s Manly Beach. Upon returning to Los Angeles, Cheyenne was signed by the ‘Wolf Connection’ a non-profit organization for the prevention of abuse to wolves and hybrid wolves in the United States. The project involved Cheyenne’s interaction with the animals for a publicity campaign to raise awareness at a red-carpet media event on Sunset Blvd. Los Angeles.
Cheyenne has appeared at numerous sports model events hosted by Michael Torchia and has worked for beauty infomercials including the Luminess and ENVY line of products.
Paul "King" Konye is an Oneonta based rap artist, videographer and actor. He's most known as a public figure for bringing his uplifting attitude and encouragement to his performances, social media audience and day to day conversations. Konye grew up in the capital region of NY, and he moved to Oneonta after graduating from Hartwick College.
Konye is involved in Otsego County's film industry as the secretary of the county's film commision, along with regularly filming local events for Otsego media, shooting his music videos in the area, and his debut acting role in the locally filmed "Popeye the Slayer Man" locally shot film. He actively promotes the idea of shooting and capturing the beautiful landscapes of rural NY, while recognizing the importance of highlighting small and intimate communities.
Heather has been passionate about film from an early age. Growing up, she was immersed in cinematic classics across various genres, many of which continue to influence her work today. As a makeup artist for short and feature films, as well as music videos, Heather brings a deep reverence for the craft to each project she undertakes. She was not only Key Makeup Artist in the globally recognized film, Popeye The Slayor Man, she was also Special Effects Assistant, further expanding her creative talents & skills.
Heather's talents extend beyond makeup artistry. She was also a director, producer, and makeup artist with Inside Insanity, a local shadow cast theater company. Her multifaceted role in the company allowed her to explore different aspects of filmmaking and theater production, showcasing her versatility and creativity. She is also producing several short films.
In addition to her work in film and theater, Heather is an entrepreneur. She owns LUXX Whitening Studio and Luna & Grace Keepsakes in Oneonta. Through these ventures, she demonstrates her commitment to providing high-quality services and products to her community.
Heather's diverse experiences and unwavering passion for film and the arts make her a valuable asset to any creative endeavor she undertakes.
With over two decades of experience in information technology and a decade-long tenure as the owner and manager of a gaming and hobby store, Nate Roberts has a rich background that spans various creative and entrepreneurial endeavors. Their journey includes a significant chapter in New York City, where they honed their craft as a stand-up comedian, writer, improviser, and actor for six years. This period of artistic exploration laid the foundation for their next venture: a horror movie review podcast titled "The Podcast for the Recently Deceased," which they have successfully run for the past three years. Now, at the age of 40, they are embarking on a new and exciting chapter as a filmmaker. With a diverse skill set and a wealth of experiences, they bring a unique perspective and a fresh voice to Film Otsego.
